Pain Management Products

We specialise in the supply and distribution of pain management products to NHS and Private Hospitals across the UK. Over 100 Million people suffer with some sort of pain every day and in some cases that pain can develop into chronic pain which is defined as discomfort that persists for longer than the normal healing time (usually 3 months and onward). Medication has long been an effective treatment for people who suffer, allowing people to somewhat function and complete daily tasks, however it is not effective in treating long-term chronic pain sufferers.

Pain Management Technology Products

Flowonix Prometra II Pump

The Flowonix Prometra II Pump uses a programmable implant to deliver pain medication to the fluid surrounding the spinal cord. It can be delivered by using an automated medication pump which is prescribed with a specific pre-planned amount of medication that once implanted into the skin will distribute to the area of focus. This means that the patient never has to remember how much medication to take everyday.

Nuvectra Algovita - Pain Management Product

Nuvectra Algovita Spinal Cord Stimulator

The Nuvectra Algovita uses Spinal Cord Stimulation technology to effectively send electrical stimuli to the nerve areas causing pain to the patient. Thin leads are inserted along the spinal cord and the small stimulater device is then implanted under the skin and then connected to the leads. The device then generate a small amount of electricity which travels through the leads and stimulates the nerves that are sending the pain.

Diros Owl RF Lesion Generator

The Diros Owl RF Lesion Generator uses nerve stimulation technology to offer an accurate and safe chronic pain solution to patients. The generator works by connecting to RF Probes (up to 4 in total at any one time) which are then inserted into the targeted nerve area and activated to deliver a continuous pulse of radio frequencies. This radio frequency then causes a legion to occur in the nerve which sends the pain messages to the brain, stopping it from sending further signals.

Neurimpulse Nerve Stimulator - Pain Management

Neurimpulse Peripheral Nerve Stimulation System

The Neurimpulse Peripheral Nerve Stimulation System features non-rechargeable, tetra-polar pulse generators which use microprocessor technology in order to stimulate peripheral nerves for the management of chronic pain. Peripheral nerves are located outside of the brain or spinal cord which offers an alternative treatment for chronic pain in which the generator is implanted near the painful area to prevent pain and blocks signals from reaching the brain to reduce the sensation of pain.

RF Trident - Pain Management Product

RF Tridentâ„¢ Cannula

The RF Trident Cannulas are designed to be used with the Diros Owl RF Lesion Generator to provide an upgrade to the leads which send the radio frequency. The upgrades to the Trident Cannula design means that they able to create a larger lesion area with much less X-ray exposure making the treatment quicker and more accurate. It features a retractable open end which deploys similar to that of a pyramid, resulting in a large lesion area encompassing the nerve.

Chronic Pain Management

Innovative new technologies have been developed to offer an alternative in chronic pain management and one that is becoming increasingly popular is ‘Neuromodulation’, which is the technology that the majority of our pain management products utilise. Neuromodulation is an alteration of nerve activity through targeted delivery of a stimulus, such as electrical stimulation or chemical agents, to specific neurological sites in the body. Products such as the Nuvectra Algovita and the Neurimpulse Perpheral Nerve Stimulation System use Neuromodulation Technology to send pulses of electricity to the nerves through the use of a non-rechargeable implant which is inserted into the body. Another form can be seen in systems such as the Diros Owl RF Lesion Generator which uses cannulas to send electrical stimulation to the nerves that are sending the pain messages.

Using Neuromodulation Technology for pain management has many benefits which include:

  • Effective Long-term Pain Relief
  • Quick patient turnaround
  • Non- Invasive Treatment
  • Fast Patient Recovery Time
  • High Success Rate
