What is Radio-Frequency Pain Management Treatment?
Radiofrequency (RF) Pain Management treatment uses an innovative type of technology which utilises an electrical current (produced by radio waves) to heat up a specific area of nerve tissue within the body to reduce pain signals sent to the brain from that specific area.
The procedure is achieved through the use of a Radiofrequency Generator. A surgeon will insert a connected probe into the nerve area where the patient is experiencing the pain and with the use of an X-ray the surgeon will then guide the needlepoint ends to the exact area of pain and begin the radio-frequency treatment.
