Pain Management Technology Products
We supply an array of advanced and innovative chronic pain products to both the NHS and Private Hospital sector across the UK. Pain effects over 100 million individuals across the world, with some of these cases progressing to a persistent chronic pain. Chronic pain is defined as discomfort that persists for longer than 3 months and is often treated with medication, however this is not an effective solution for treating long-term chronic pain sufferers.
Diros Owl RF Lesion Generator
The Diros Owl RF Lesion Generator uses nerve stimulation technology to offer an accurate and safe chronic pain solution to patients. The generator works by connecting to RF Probes (up to 4 in total at any one time) which are then inserted into the targeted nerve area and activated to deliver a continuous pulse of radio frequencies. This radio frequency then causes a legion to occur in the nerve which sends the pain messages to the brain, stopping it from sending further signals.
RF Trident™ Cannula
These Trident™ Cannulas are used with the Diros Own RF Lesion Generator as an upgrade to the leads which send the radio frequency. They are guaranteed to decrease surgical costs, eradicate any form of cross-contamination and are sterilised individually within a box of 10 pieces.
Chronic Pain Management
Chronic pain is defined as an uncomfortable sensation which lasts for longer than 12 weeks and is caused by the spinal nerves in the central nervous system carrying messages to the brain. There are a number of different causes, the most common are: nerve damage, disc disease, cancer and arthritis.
Medication has long been a common method of managing these types of chronic pain conditions, however innovative new technologies have been developed to offer an alternative in chronic pain management and one that is becoming increasingly popular is ‘Neuromodulation’.
Neuromodulation products offer an alternative pain management solution. It offers an alteration of nerve activity through targeted delivery of a stimulus, such as electrical stimulation or chemical agents, to specific neurological sites in the body.
